En la nota publicada en el New York Times “In French Vote, Sound and Fury From the Left” aparece Jean-Luc Mélenchon en tercer lugar en intención de votos. Junto a la candidata Marine Le Pen, sumarían 30% o más de los votos. “Si en Francia la crisis, fuera más fuerte, como lo es en España, Mélechon obtendría el 25% de los votos”, según la historiadora, Stéphane Courtois
